Not sure what to think about Digital Health Tools?

As digital health is rapidly evolving and often offered directly to patients, we may feel like we don't know how to incorporate it in our practice or even how patients use Digital Health Tools (like mobile apps). However, for pharmacists, Digital Health Tools have the potential to solidify patient-pharmacist relationships and fulfill unmet patient needs. Pharmacists may leverage technology to fast track cognitive services and Chronic Disease Management. Therefore, we have created this e-course to help pharmacists become more confident when discussing apps with their patients or to start using apps in their practice. Upon successful completion, you will be able to:

Course objectives

  • Define the actual role of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) in Canada

  • Know how to properly identify Digital Health Tools to use in your practice

  • Avoid pitfalls when using the Internet as a communication platform with patients

With the support of the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy,

this e-course is completely free.
